We are committed to keeping our charges affordable for our local community.
All rooms and the hall are charged at the same rate. Charges are negotiable in some circumstances, so please get in touch.

Voluntary/Third Sector organisations

Refreshments
Refreshments (fairtrade tea & coffee plus biscuits) are charged at £1 per person per session.
Additional catering is available upon request.
Extra help and equipment
Extra caretaker support or cleaning up is charged at £7 per half hour.
Additional charges may applicable for some equipment such as projectors and sound equipment - please ask.
Birthday parties and other private functions
The Kirkgate Centre is a popular venue for birthday parties, christenings and other private functions.
Before 5pm costs £10 per hour (minimum 2 hours)
After 5pm costs £15 per hour
Please ensure you book enough time to set up and clear away
Full payment is required in advance, plus a £30 returnable deposit.
Main hall with licensed bar
We can provide a licensed bar for evening functions. If you are running a large event with a bar, we are usually able to offer the main hall free of charge.
Please note that our standard licence runs up to 11:30pm.
Cancellation charges
Late cancellations of booked rooms will incur a cancellation charge as follows:
• More than five working days notice of cancellation: no charge
• Less five working days notice of cancellation: 50% of agreed hire charge
• Less than 48 hours notice of cancellation: 100% of agreed hire charge
