What is Shipley Slouch?
Shipley Slouch is a new, not-for-profit pop-up cafe running four times a year at the Kirkgate Centre.

We're a small band of Shipley residents that got together to think about how we could the bring a relaxed, Sunday morning, family-friendly cafe environment to the centre of town. At the moment, there isn't anything like this available in Shipley but we know that there are lots of people who would like to enjoy good food and company in a lovely setting. With the help of a small grant from Community First, the Shipley Slouch was born.

The core aim of the café is to bring people together in a community venue to make links between each other and build a sense of community. We hope the Slouch will build on Shipley’s growing community and cultural life, creating a new social hub in a format that isn’t currently available.  We chose the Kirkgate Centre as our venue because of its growing reputation as a vibrant place-to-be and its lovely, sun-filled space.

Shipley Slouch promises to bring you an interesting menu of delicious brunch-style treats, priced as low as we can, along with real coffee, lovely soft drinks and a licensed bar; the perfect start to a relaxing Sunday!

When?
Shipley Slouch is taking place on Sunday 20 January 2013. We open at 11am and close at 2pm.

Children are very welcome and we have a few child-friendly ideas up our sleeves to keep the little ones busy whilst the grown-ups enjoy their food (bring your Sunday papers!).  

How to book
To help us with our planning, we'd like you to book your table by emailing shipleyslouch@gmail.com.  Just tell us your name, contact number and the number of people coming (adults and children). We'll confirm your booking and if we've already reached our table limit, we'll keep you on a waiting list and notify you of any cancellations.
