Sonkei Karate
A long-established and welcoming karate group which runs classes at the Kirkgate Centre every week.
They work in both Wado Ryu and Shukokai styles – not sure what that means? Don’t worry! Beginners of all ages are very welcome.
Sonkei is Japanese for respect. This highlights the core focus for this class – that of promoting respect for self, Sensei and fellow karateka (karate students). Karate is taught with close adherence to the traditional Japanese approach of martial arts learning, actively promoting respect, commitment and self-discipline.
When: Every week on Tuesday 6-7pm
