The centre is open for community use every day and evening, including weekends.
The office is staffed between 9.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday.

Shake Rattle and Rhyme

A fun weekly session for pre-schoolers and their parents and carers, involving singing and music making.
There's space afterwards for parents to chat and supervise their children to play until 1pm.

Once a month, the main hall of the Kirkgate Centre is filled with Lego, Kinex, Meccano for children (and parents) creating all kinds of amazing things.

Front Room Disco brings you an eclectic alternative mix of music. Covering indie, alternative, ska, reggae, punk, disco and 80's pop. With Wil Oddsox (Love to Boogie).

Kirkgate Clothes Swap

Saturday 11th May
£3 (£1.50 concessions)

Do you love clothes, but don't like waste? Do you enjoy community events? Then come to our fourth exciting clothes swap event for women's clothes.
Clothes can be dropped off from 10am
Swapping will begin at 11 am until 1 pm.
We ask people to bring a maximum of 15 items in a good wearable condition.
All clothes will be checked before being accepted.

Refill Shipley
Joining the Clothes Swap is a low waste pop up grocery shop. Fill your own containers with a variety of food and non food items such as washing up liquid. Shipley Refill will also be selling other eco friendly items aimed at reducing plastic waste.
There will be paper bags and donated glass jars if you forget your containers.

Rather than chuck stuff away, bring it along to Shipley Repair Cafe and get help from volunteers to repair it.

We are joined by MCF Bikery so bring your bikes along for a free tweak and service.

Behold a Pale Horse

The final film presented by Ante to mark 80 years since the end of the Spanish revolution 1936–39.

Behold a Pale Horse is based on the novel Killing a Mouse on Sunday, which loosely follows the life of Francesc Sabaté, a guerrilla fighter who continued the fight against Franco and fascism after the fall of the republic in 1939. Starring Gregory Peck, Antony Quinn and Omar Sharif.

A bar will be open serving wines, beers, soft drinks and cake.
